Arirang
Last Friday, I went to eat Korean with my family. Since it was a last min call, we decided to go the a restaurant which was used to be called Korean Barbecue, the new name is Arirang on Ave Louise.
I remembered the first time I tried Korean food was there with Fox and Ben, and it was not bad. However, last Friday we were very disappointed with the service and the food. Later on, I found out that the place has a new owner (obviously), so that explained the whole catastrophic service. We decided to choose menu (for the freshness of the ingredients because menu is what is sold much at a restaurant), we were pretty much disappointed about the food, the marinated items to grill taste a bit sweet. But "not so good" foods could always compensate by an excellent service, however, when we took our glass wines, we saw that they were not polished, there were traces of calcium all over, look really cheap for such a nice restaurant. The Korean owner is very loud when she talked to her servers, yelling...when she walked, she made terrible noise with the high heel shoes hitting on the face of the wooden floor. The server poured water for us, and made the water drop coming out of every glass, he just opened the bottle of wine and left it to us to pour the wine ourselves. Mind you, we are usually not demanding customers, but any customer could have a negative reaction.
Anyway, first time will also be last time for that place. I am now in quest for a new good Korean restaurant ;-)
