"What's in the world?"
I went to Dinant yesterday for canoeing with friends. There were 13 of us, and the weather was perfect. It's a pity that Ben couldn't join at the end because he had food poisoning. Fox was not really enthusiastic about Ben's news "If Ben doesn't go, I don't feel like going", several phone calls later, Fox joined. Many friends usually tells me that Fox is moody, maybe he is but I think we should accept friends with their strengths and weaknesses...Besides, Fox has many good points.
We did 21km of canoeing with small picnic breaks, and after we all had a couple of beers. We arrived in Brussels around 8pm or so. After that, I joined the Vnese mafia for two big bowls of PHO ;-), and then several guys were complaining about women (hmm), "they are manipulative, they usually ensnare us..blah blah blah". And conclusion as a joke "but we like the traps, maybe if women don't snare us, we will ask them to do so ;-))". Crazy ones.
Anyway, the couple who moved in two weeks ago is VERY weird. On Saturday when I left a note to ask them to come up, so that we could finalise the rent contract. They came up, then "about the contract, actually it is difficult for us to get a job here-they are French, by Tuesday or Wednesday only that we will know about the job...If we don't get any jobs, we will move because we can't afford the appartment...". Arrgh, what's in the world? why can they be so egoistic and irresponsible? I would be more understanding if they explained their situation before I asked them to sign the rent contract. At least they should show good deed, honesty. They moved in for almost 3 weeks, and if I didn't ask them to sign the contract, they wouldn't tell me or what? It was like they went to a restaurant to have dinner, and then when they finish their meals, they said we had no money (???). Oh, well I hope they have the decency to offer to pay the time they stayed in though. It was a small thing, but it really shows how one conducts life different from the other.
I plan on buying a new laptop, like that I can install wireless at my place, both my desktop and laptop are quite old, it's time. Quite a few major purchases going on. Talking about major purchases, the deal we agreed with the owner of "La danse aux paysants" comes to 110K Eur. I am looking forward to work on the "restaurant project" if things, of course, are fine with the bank. Anyway, tonite biz dinner with the guy and uncle to see how things go...
