HA NOI — The Vietnamese Government will donate US$100,000 in cash as urgent aid to the Pakistan Government and people to overcome huge losses suffered in the recent earthquake, which claimed up to 48,000 lives.
Viet Nam, which faced serious damages in recent storms, had provided the fund with the sprit of solidarity, friendship and humanity, and shares and sympathises with the people of Pakistan and India, who suffered major losses to life and property, the Foreign Ministry said.
Viet Nam hopes the determination and efforts of the governments of Pakistan and India, along with the support of the international community, would help victims overcome this calamity soon and return to normal lives, the ministry said. — VNS"
