One of those best moments...

New post after some short postings from Vancouver ;-)

The days stay brighter and the temperature is also going up now that we are slowly entering spring, I even had the impression that I was late for work this morning. Spring, the season where new lives begin, flowers start to bloom, animals get out of their winter shefters, and the birds are much more excited, so they produce a much more optimistic songs.

Anyway, things have been good so far for me, was able to take some holidays, able to see my aunt who I had not seen for two years. Work is going well, healthwise is probably excellent. I have also been able to catch up with some good friends, always feel good to be in the right companies. Conversations could go from a very banal thing to some very exciting subject like foreign aids in VN.

One of my acquaintances (soon to be friend ;-) is working for an agency that haft sponsored by the Belgian government and is responsible for the development of third world countries. So, there are a few projects going on, something like infra-structure, and anti-corruption project in VN. The Belgian government is pouring money to help VN basically. So, I was asking what is catch behind for those so called "aid" because to be honest when a developed country talks about helping a developing country, it is most fo the time because the benefits that they can get out of it. Look at what US is doing to India, those pharmaceutical companies are polutting the life of Indian people. So, the answer was "this is a typical Vnese question, nothing, we just want to have good concious when we go to sleep". Sound nice, my friend, and I believe him because he is a kind, someone who has a good heart, and care for others (I think). However, I still explain my skepticism about this even though Belgium is a small country...I do think that if VN is truly being helped, I am sure the help is very much appreciated! We seem to work well when we are in present of foreigners, the true always hurts, sadly.

I am also reading the Selfish Capitalist, and apparently, English speaking countries are suffering from what is called Affluenza, a virus that causes emotional distress because we rather care for minor wealth instead of our own well-being. Here goes, it is said out loud! Be careful that we don't get it! the good news is that there are remedies, and we know it.

Leading an environmental friendly life? Look like many of us do care for our planet, and our generation seems to have many ideas to save the already harmed Earth. One young French couple cultivate the earth worms so that they can eat the household food wastages in an appartment they share with other singles (to save electricity and water). The idea seems appealing, so I have been looking for books to explain how to keep these worms and have them as pets! Those lazy cats only eat and sleep, at least the worms are every efficient ;-).

So much for ideas in my head, I also have been dreaming about far away places, where there are wild horses runnning free, where there are potatoes in all forms, where the people are smiling and happy after a day of hard work, where caring and sharing between people is a habit, where there is me, the wind, and the moon...
