Tasting the tasty snails time ;-)

Snails farm visiting

The farmers of Wallon opened their doors for visitors to come and share the passion of doing agriculture. I chose to visit the snails farm because it is quite unusual, and to be honest, this is not a kind of thing you can see every day.

I learnt a lot, and I think it was a very educative activity.

I guess that is why I like Belgium (and Brussels) because during summer time, there are plenty of activities to do and many festivals to see. As a matter of fact, I rarely leave Belgium during summer months for that reason .

Mid Summer 2007

In the heart of African quarter in Brussels, Jun 2007, there was a super party organised by two hot cool chicks and a super cool sexy, and fabulous guy hehehe.
Well, we celebrated mid-summer two years ago in Sweden, and because this year, Sofia did not go back, we decided we had to organise it here. So, we did have a lot of boozes, eating harengs... and all sorts of typical mid-summer foods.
At the end, Fox got too drunk that he started to insist on drinking more snaps (and singing, bTW), Sofia did the frog dancing, and me...well, I just kept on drinking more snaps that Fox filled in, and laughed at Sofia ;-)
Anyway, this could be the last mid-summer that we celebrated together, big changes are coming for everyone, so we really enjoyed it to the top.

Show me some love...

And when it gets to the end of a mid summer party, when we had too much snaps, had what we called "laughing orgasm" ;-), too drunk to remember anything but the moment of happiness and love ;-)

Some guests

Euroferia

It was a festival to promote the culture of Spain, and Latin America organised in Atomium in the beg.of Jun. There were a lot of pailla, grilled sardine, shrimp, beans, corns, and of course a lot of mojhitos.

There were also some great performances of sals

Posh party ;-)

Fox was invited to the five years anniversary of Belga Queen and asked me to join him for the party yesterday.
It was organised in Concert Noble, although the building looks quite modern, inside it was probably an old master house with very beautiful chandeliers. The party dress code was black and white, or black or white, and we arrived at the red carpet, being welcomed by the Queen herself and two beautiful but smelly horses ;-). After checking in our identities as guests ;-), we had our pictures taken on the red carpet (again), and were invited for a glass of Moet Chandon served with Galler chocolates (how glamorous ;-)). No need to say there were a lot of rich people dressed up in their "how can I say" dresses, and shoes, arrived in expensive car, unsurprisingly most of them were late middle age, the youngest people were probably in their late 30s, and many trendy gay guys.
I actually enjoyed the party itself a lot (I think Fox did, too) even though the DJs was not great, most of the music were old (probably was prepared for its own target ;-)), but me and Fox combined some African moves that I learnt and some of his inventive comtempory moves, so we made the best out of our first posh party night in town. Maybe I have to keep an eye on the latest EGO magazines, our pictures were probably in there ;-)
Feeling so "sex and the city", only if there was a Cosmopolitan ;-)

Me and the Queen ;-)

The good old times...

Me and Sofia bought a super cool baby carrier of Baby Bjorn for her, so she would be a dynamic mommy hehehehe

And...Behind the scenes ;-)

Afro dance

We had two days performances but we actually danced for 5 days, so at the end everybody was extremely tired. I personally had a terrible cold, during the rehearsal, my nose was running, and dropped on the floor like rain ;-). One of the girl said she hoped it would be better for me otherwise I would not be able to dance, I replied "no no, I have gone this far, I will perform anyway" ;-)
So, the show was quite successful, even though Sunday 3rd Jun was not as good as Sat, but everybody enjoyed. Our group went closer with each other, we practiced together before getting on stage, the teacher came to encouraged...there was such a synergy that you would not see elsewhere. I felt like I became a real african for 15 mins ;-), the transe did some good as I felt like there was someone else invaded inside me (sound spiritual enough?) ;-)
How about the audience? Well, everybody liked our performance the most, most of the other dances were accompanied by CD music, ours was with live percussions, and it was super cool.
Nervousness on stage? I loved being on stage ;-), was not at all nervous, actually if I was not sick, I think I could fly "over the river" or "harvesting" better result ;-)
Until next year, I think I will try some other dances as well.
