Women at 30s something

I could feel the changes since I start getting over 30s. No seriously, let's face it. The body starts accumulating subcutaneous fat, so we have to make double or triple to get rid of them without cutting off our favourite foods. Not to mention the skin seems to become more sensitive and requires more sun protection. Ok ok, enough of all the pessimistic attitudes, going over 30s actually makes us feel more assurance, project such confident, and because of that, we look even brighter, our skins is radiant. If there is greater about getting older is probably the mind become clearer with time.

With time, we begin to pay more attention to the books we read, the people we will make friends, the end purpose in life...For me, my life have gotten "richer" with age. Of course, there has been moments that I thought there was no end in the very dark tunnel but the light only appears on the other ends. It is also an age where you get smarter on finding the guy with whom you will share your life (yeah I know I have been a real relationship retard). Once you have been treated unfair, you learned your lessons, and in some cases, like mine, you thought you probably never healed. It's sad. Luckily, at some points, you realise there is not a one person makes for one, but there are several. People with whom you can easily talk to, find common understanding, share common interests, and it is just great.

If there is anything negative about getting older is probably the ability to forgive, and what is more difficult to forgive is that being lied to, and the liar pretends as if it is a normal thing to do, that makes me sick. How many times can you forgive? How many times people deserve a second chance?

Books and conversations

I just finish reading a book called "Emergency Sex- True stories from a war zone". The book is about stoires of three different peacekeeper working for the UN that are put together. Three different people, different background, different purposes that they look for when they sign up for their missions but their common point has put them together and set them apart. However, the book is good because it has put stories of real people before politics.

I have always admired people who can do more for others. Normal people but with a grant heart. To be honest, with time, you become skeptical on all the NGOs, people who truly put their heart in helping other people are rare, it's like we are running out of heros. For instance, what NGO do in Africa is almost like using the unhappiness or bad luck of other people to advertise their actions and look for more funds. Yes, sounds pessimistic but most of the time that's how it works.

Anyway, I also read a book about clinical trials on alternative treatments such as acupunture, homeopathy, herbal therapy, bloodletting..etc. I have always been a fan of alternative treatments, especially since I start working for the company that I work right now, I am even more skeptical when it comes to doctors, and hopitals...etc. To my surprises, most of these treatments turn out to be nothing than a miracle placebo effects. I was very much into this book since it also gives a good history info on clinical trials, how it was firt started, for which purposes...It's just great.

Other than that, life passing by quickly with dinner with friends, do yoga, go to movies, work hard....
